FastFlood

Description
The fastflood model is a super-fast flood simulation tool that runs in your browser. It combined global data for rapid model setup, with the FastFlood simulation method for immediate simulation results, while maintaining near-identical accuracy compated to industry-standard models.

Product Delivery Latency
This is a physically-based model that can produce simulation results in a matter of seconds on a typical users device.
Data Type
The model produces simulation results such as flood depth maps, flood velocity, and flood duration. These, and all input layers, can be exported on the website as geotiff.

Spatial Extent

Spatial Scale
Depending on user data. Global data provided between 20m and 1.2 km, but the model can deal with simulations between 10cm and 1.2 km approximately, if the model is used with appropriate settings and calibration.
Caveats
The model uses some assumptions to gain its speed. The online tutorials and training materials will help you understand these assumptions and their limitations. One primary consideration is the model direct calculation of peak parameters. It only considers the time-dynamic implicitly, and does not provide full dynamic flood simulation with the default rapid methodology.
